Gabriela Arias Godínez

With over a decade of experience practicing law, attorney Gabriela Arias Godínez joins the BGA Abogados team as part of a high-level staff providing comprehensive legal services across multiple areas of law.

She has worked as a trial attorney in key areas such as Criminal, Agrarian, Disciplinary Administrative, Civil, Labor, Family, and Commercial Law, as well as Judicial Collection and corporate advisory processes. This allows her to offer a strategic and multifaceted perspective on the cases she handles.

Throughout her career, she has held notable positions in the Judiciary, including Criminal Judge at the Pérez Zeledón Court (2023–2024), and has also served at the Criminal Court of Pavas and other high-volume courts such as the Extraordinary Duty Courts of San José and Goicoechea.

She has collaborated with prestigious institutions like the Graduate Studies System at the University of Costa Rica, contributing through technical and legal review of regulations and disciplinary administrative procedures, as well as in the protection of fundamental educational rights.

As director of the Fundación Puente a la Libertad, she has led free legal assistance projects for incarcerated individuals in vulnerable conditions, with a strong focus on Constitutional Law and Sentence Enforcement, showing her commitment to social justice and human rights.
